In late 2015, we were approached by the newly engaged Nicky and Mark to help them put together their wedding reception on a tennis court.
Nicky and Mark met through their mutual love of tennis and are both members of Fulwood Tennis Club in Sheffield so a tennis-themed wedding was the natural choice for them. We put together some ideas and designs and helped them to transform the tennis courts at Fulwood Tennis Club into a truly magical and unique wedding reception.
We started by installing a stunning wedding marquee on one of the tennis courts, with guests being able to make use of two additional tennis courts for relaxing and dancing. We added beautiful, tennis-themed touches throughout the marquee and outside. These included outdoor vintage deckchairs for guests, festoon lighting and up lighting to illuminate the tennis courts and handmade tennis-themed props (including vintage, individually-lit, tennis rackets suspended over each dining table). The wedding breakfast was provided by Sheffield-favourite; Rafters and we arranged for local street food vendors - Livvy’s Ice Creams and Fancy an Indian? - to feed Nicky and Mark's evening guests. The live band finished at midnight and guests spilled out onto the tennis courts to continue the party with a silent disco. It was truly personal day which captured Nicky and Mark's personality perfectly.
Liz at Meadowsweet provided the flowers on the day. The wedding photography was provided by Nathan Dainty at VeryCreative.
